It is rare for my wife to be involved in my interest with photography. She thinks I am spending too much money on “chasing” camera gear and that I get carried away at times.
It has been almost 2 years since she used my Sony NEX-5 for pictures during our holiday trip to Europe and I believe she doesn’t like to be bogged down by having to control the zooming in/out on a interchangeable lens. It’s too troublesome for her since she has always used a Point-and-Shoot camera.
We went out for a lunch celebration for her birthday at Peach Garden (OCBC Centre) and decided to bring along both my 5D3 and the X100S, just in case I need a wider field of view. As I whipped out my 5D3, I handed over the X100S and asked her to go ahead and snap away. As she was previewing the photos she took, I had to take that “connection” between her and the camera.
